Broken Whistle is combining forces with the Kelly Irish Dancers! For the third spring in a row, Broken Whistle and Kelly are bringing color, rhythm, and Celtic beauty to Spokane's Bing Crosby Theater. After hibernating all winter, we've been preparing some fresh, new (never-before-heard) material that we'd love to show you! Tickets are $12 each.
Music is the heart and soul of dancing, and a family of musicians evolved into a family of dancers. Since 2001, the Kelly Irish Dancers have delighted audiences in retirement homes, schools, and around the community with their light-hearted traditional Irish Step Dancing. Dancers of all ages perform together in an art form that brings young and old together in toe-tapping fun.
Broken Whistle is a young Celtic band from eastern WA. Using three fiddles, an upright bass, rich vocal harmonies, and a wide variety of acoustic instrument combinations, Broken Whistle shares the energetic beauty of the Celts with audiences everywhere. The band emphasizes the variety in Celtic music, from gentle traditional ballads, to sparkling contemporary reels, to compelling vocals. All five players—David McGuire (guitar, whistles), Chris Reichert (vocals, assorted strings), Kelcey Hanson (fiddle), Justus Morgan (bodhrán), and Ella Wilkinson (fiddle, bass)—bring infectious passion and skill to audiences everywhere.
